As many of you know, we've been diligently searching for the right doctor to join our team. Well, we're excited to announce that Dr. Megan McElroy, D.C. will be starting with us on June 10th!
Dr. Megan McElroy is a native of New Braunfels, Texas, and a graduate of New Braunfels High School where she competed in both volleyball and golf. During her sophmore year, she sustained a low back injury. Thanks to a referral from her grandmother, who was an acupuncturist at the time, Dr. Megan had her first chiropractic appointment. Before this injury, she had planned on pursuing a career in orthopedics. However, this experience revealed the transformative power of chiropractic care, guiding her away from a traditional path in Western medicine and towards a career in holistic healing.
Dr. Megan earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University, focusing on family care. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Tarleton State University. Dr. Megan is certified in Torque Release Technique and Activator, and is well-versed in soft tissue techniques, cupping, and functional taping. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is working towards certification in Webster’s Technique. Dr. Megan will soon be Dry Needling Certified as well. She is licensed to practice in both Texas and Michigan.
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Megan enjoys quality time with her identical twin sister, relaxing by the pool, staying active through workouts, and playing with her blue heeler.
Dr. Megan will be training for her first few weeks at the clinic, so her hours are not set yet.
