October is National Chiropractic Health Month, and I’m excited to share some insights into how chiropractic care can help you lead a healthier, more balanced life. As a chiropractor, I’ve seen firsthand the remarkable benefits that patients experience, from reduced pain to increased mobility, and I believe that everyone can benefit from a better understanding of how chiropractic care fits into a holistic approach to health.

What is Chiropractic Care?
Chiropractic care is all about taking a hands-on approach to diagnosing and treating issues that affect the spine, joints, and muscles. By using manual adjustments and other non-invasive therapies, chiropractors work to improve the body’s physical structure and its ability to function optimally.
Many of the patients I see come in with back pain, headaches, or joint discomfort. But chiropractic care isn’t just for those in pain—it can also be a key part of a proactive approach to maintaining your health, helping you stay active, and even managing chronic conditions like arthritis and sciatica.
The Evidence Speaks for Itself
When it comes to healthcare, it’s important that treatments are not only effective but also supported by research. Chiropractic care has a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, and I want to highlight a few key statistics that show just how beneficial this approach can be:
Back Pain Relief: Did you know that chiropractic care is one of the most effective treatments for back pain? A study published in JAMA Network Open revealed that patients who sought chiropractic care were 64% less likely to require an opioid prescription (1). This is particularly significant as we continue to seek safer alternatives to pain management, given that even opioids taken as prescribed carry the risk of addiction.
Cost-effective Care: One of the lesser-known benefits of chiropractic care is its ability to reduce overall healthcare costs. Research shows that individuals who seek chiropractic treatment for back pain can experience a 20–40% reduction in healthcare expenses compared to those who don’t (2). That’s because chiropractic patients are less likely to need expensive surgeries or long-term medications.
Better Mobility and Function: Staying active is essential for a healthy life, and chiropractic adjustments can help keep your body moving. Research published in The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics found that chiropractic care improves physical function and mobility by reducing joint restrictions, which in turn enhances range of motion and improves quality of life as we age (2).
My Approach to overall health
I believe in providing patient-centered care that’s tailored to each person’s unique needs. I incorporate evidence-based techniques into my practice to ensure that the care I provide is grounded in the latest research and delivers the best possible outcomes for my patients.
Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or simply looking for ways to improve your overall health and wellness, I’m here to help. My goal is to not only relieve pain but also help you move better, feel better, and live a more active life.
Our office has two key features that set us apart. First, we have a diverse team of providers, each specializing in different techniques. We collaborate as a team at least once a week to discuss challenging cases, drawing on each other's unique clinical experiences to provide the best care possible. Second, all of our providers exceed the state's continuing education requirements, completing at least twice the mandated hours each year. This commitment allows us to continually expand our knowledge and improve the quality of life for our patients.
